January OFWW Bash

Format: 3-Man Scramble

Date: Tuesday, January 28th, 2025

Location: Island Course

Start Time: 9:00 am Shotgun

Social: Beer and Soft Drinks Main Ballroom

Entry Fee: $10.00 Charged to account

 

Instructions:

 

● Scramble Format

● Team scramble handicap will be calculated as 20% of A player, 15% of B player and 10% of C player

● No drive quota

● No Mulligans

● Team net skin competition to be paid out of tournament prize money

● All players will play from the Silver Tees

● Record your team’s total gross score in Golf Genius

● Score card playoff will be determined using USGA matching method of last 9, last 6, last 3, last hole. Holes 10 through 18 will be consider as last

● Remember to keep up with the group in front of you and complete your round in under 4½ hours!

Foursome rule in effect:

 

● Foursomes will play a step-back scramble format. Each stroke played by the 4-person team requires the player who hit the selected shot (other than the drive and second shot) sits out for that stroke. Reset at the start of the next hole, i.e., the player who makes a putt is eligible to tee-off on the next hole.

● Team scramble handicap will be calculated as a three-man team as 20% of A player, 15% of B player, 10% of C player.

February OFWW Bash

 

Format: ABCD Shamble

Date: Tuesday, February 18th, 2025

Location: Island Course

Start Time: 9:00 am Shotgun

Social: Drinks & Scoring Main Ballroom

Entry Fee: $10.00 Charged to account

 

● Shamble format. Select the best drive and then each player plays his own ball from that location through the green.

● 80% handicap.

● No Drive Quota.

● No mulligans.

● Teams will be picked by random method.

● Record all gross scores in Golf Genius and software will calculate the team total in following manner:

- Par 3 holes one lowest net score

- Par 4 holes two lowest net scores

- Par 5 holes three lowest net scores.

● Score card playoff will be determined using USGA matching method of last 9, last 6, last 3, last hole. Holes 10 through 18 will be consider as last.

● All players will play from the Silver tees.

● Optional $5.00 cash Par-3 Closest to the Pins game (fourth of pot paid per hole). Money and sign-up will be handled morning of event by Stan Coburn.

● Remember to keep up with the group in front of you and to complete your round in under 4½ hours! Pick-up once a score of gross double bogey plus any handicap strokes you’re entitled to on the hole is reached! You are also encouraged to use the Most Likely Score provision that allows you to take your maximum score without finishing the hole.

● Shamble format. Select the best drive and then each player plays his own ball from that location through the green.

● 80% handicap.

● Need at least 4 drives by any player (B, C, or D) other than A player.

● No mulligans.

● Teams will be picked by random method.

● Record all gross scores in Golf Genius and software will calculate the team total in following manner:

- Par 3 holes one lowest net score

- Par 4 holes two lowest net scores

- Par 5 holes three lowest net scores.

● Score card playoff will be determined using USGA matching method of last 9, last 6, last 3, last hole. Holes 10 through 18 will be consider as last.

● All players will play from the Silver/White Combo tees.

Date: Tuesday, March 11th, 2025

Location: Island Course

Start Time: 9:00 am Shotgun

Social: Drinks & Scoring Main Ballroom

Entry Fee: $10.00 Charged to account

 

● Shamble format. Select the best drive and then each player plays his own ball from that location through the green.

● 80% handicap.

● Need at least 6 drives by any player (B, C, or D) other than A player (i.e A player’s drive can only be used up to 12 holes).

● No mulligans.

● Teams will be picked by random method.

● For this team 2-best ball format, one best ball will be from A and D player and other best ball from B and C player. Record all gross scores in Golf Genius and software will calculate the team total

● Score card playoff will be determined using USGA method.

● All players will play from the Silver tees.

● Optional $5.00 cash Par-3 Closest to the Pins game (fourth of pot paid per hole). Money and sign-up will be handled morning of event by Jack Alexander and Stan Coburn.
